Ahhhh......
Another day, another dollar. Just got home from work and had a quick beer and a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Pretty nice way to end the day. It was a beautiful day again today. When it's sunny and warm like this it really does improve my mood and make me happier - now, why can't it be like that every day? Time for a move to California methinks...?
My first blog - it's not for anyone else, it's just for me. If I can have somewhere to release what I'm thinking, feeling and doing thn maybe I can stop being so fucking sensitive to everything all the time. It's healthy, right...? ;)
So, what was I looking at today? Well, for a while now I've been really into those custom chopper and motorcycle shows on the The Discovery Channel. I mean shows like American Chopper and Biker Build-off. (I fucking love those shows). Anyway, it's been driving my lifetime ambition of learning to ride a motorcycle and then buying m
y own mean machine! I'd always thought I'd be a sport bike kind of guy, and I still am torn between hog or sport. After watching these shows, I'm veering towards the hog side. But the thing is, I don't want a Harley like everyone else. I want... my own, personal CUSTOM CHOPPER. Unfortunately, they usually go for thousands and thousands of dollars (which I don't have). Part of the draw of those TV shows is the tinkering and building of the actual bike. So I thought, why don't I build my own? I started doing a bit of research and discovered that it would probably cost around fifteen to twenty thousand US dollars for a custom chopper kit. Considering that I could buy a new sports bike for around ten thousand Canadian dollars, and I don't even know if I'll like riding it seems like I'm not gonna be building my own bike anytime soon.If you're interested in building your own custom chopper, check out this site and follow some of the links to the stores. There actually looks to be some pretty neat stuff you can build.
As for the rest of the day..? Well, it was a pretty good day at work. I love the days when you just get a lot of stuff done and there aren't a lot of roadblocks that keep cropping up. Having said that, there's nothing like those roadblock days for a challenge in problem solving as well. Came back from work and I had a beer or two. I'm not really supposed to be drinking, but I've been pretty good and I figure a couple every now and agin won't hurt too much.
Which reminds me. I hope the freaking doctor comes back soon as I need my shot. She went on holiday for a couple of weeks and cancelled my appointment the day before she left. I have to take vitamin B12 shots to keep me from getting too tired and I really am feeling the 'gap' between them. Also, she's got my results regarding my ulcer tests. I'd really like to start getting that sorted out as soon as I can.
Today's picture. Couldn't sleep last night so I decided to play with the light and take some pics. Here's one of the results ;)
